Cores of DT-1b have been shipped from Ornavasso to Spandau-Berlin and the first sampling party is now taking place at the BGR facilities in Spandau. Some post-docs, PhD students and PI's of project DIVE are starting to cut the first cores and to do some preliminary characterizations using a variety of instruments, like a multi-sensor core logger and a XRF scanner.
